Questions about the genesis allocations

Hi! I have a few related questions about the genesis allocations that I’ve collected here. For context, here are my guesses about what each genesis allocation is for.

  • Questions
    • The network announcement has a pie chart, and text describing the pie chart. The percentages in the pie chart add up to 100%; the percentages in the text are slightly different and add up to 98.85%.[1] What set of percentages is correct?
    • Genesis vesting schedules work on the honor system; Penumbra doesn’t actually support vesting accounts. Owners of “vesting” UM do not actually have to follow the vesting schedule. Until the full viewing keys of the genesis accounts are published, there is no way to determine if the suggested vesting schedules have been complied with. Why weren’t the full viewing keys of relevant addresses published at genesis? When will they be published?
      • Relatedly: Why should I trust unspecified investors to follow the vesting schedule? I prefer to avoid trusted counterparties.
    • There is an allocation of 4.5% to a single address, presumably to Radiant Commons. But Penumbra Labs is allocated 3.65% (or 4% if you go by the pie chart), and no address is allocated 3.65% or 4%. Nor does any vesting schedule sum to 3.65% or 4%. Nor does any combination of the addresses I couldn’t guess the purpose of sum to 3.65% or 4%. What addresses belong to Penumbra Labs?
    • The post says that team tokens “are vested on a 3 or 4 year schedule”, but there appears to be no 4 year vesting schedules. Which addresses are on a 4 year vesting schedule?
    • The post makes no mention of 18 month vesting schedules (with a 1 year cliff), but there appears to be two of them. Why?
    • One address receives 3.0109% of tokens and isn’t on a vesting schedule. What is this?
    • Some Cosmos airdrop recipients received a 50% bonus but didn’t have their tokens delegated[2]. Why?

  1. This isn’t due to rounding. The pie chart allocates 4.0% to Penumbra Labs but the text says 3.65% - both specify at least two digits of precision. The text removes 0.5% from contributors, 0.35% from Penumbra Labs, and 0.3% from the community pool compared to the pie chart. ↩︎
